Tasty Design

Porkinson packaging

Sometimes we get the delight of taking a lunch trip down to the Waitrose in Portishead - something different from the local Nisa and Co-op. And you know what, wandering the aisles is quite an inspirational affair. Some of the food packaging there, is quite simply, pretty darn good. Here are some beauties.

Great packaging design makes you stop mid-browse, look at a product, and consider it in relation to a competitor’s product. I certainly have chosen say, a bottle of pesto that has a thought-out design on its label compared to a slightly cheaper but not so great looking bottle. It makes people excited and certainly for me, brings out an inner giggle and excitement at taking the product off the shelf and putting it into my basket. It makes you appreciate that they have considered good design, and hence you relate that to the fact that they must have also made the product with very good care.

Anyway, without waffling on more, enjoy!
